Branding Mumbai's first authentic Burmese restaurant, Burma Burma. To create a distinctive identity, we used one of Burma's traditional symbols, the Burmese doll. The Burmese doll is a unique tumbling toy, which always bounces back when hit. And interestingly, this doll always comes with a pair. Since the restaurant was also owned by two young entrepreneurs, we felt it was an apt and endearing symbol of Burmese culture and of their partnership.
To further strengthen the connect, we used two different art styles in one logo, both with their origins in Burma. The traditional style was complemented by modern Longyi patterns, to create an identity that signified an eatery both
